IP Connectivity

Mesh networking is a type of networking wherein each node in the network may act as an independent router, regardless of whether it is connected to another network or not. It allows for continuous connections and reconfiguration around broken or blocked paths by “hopping” from node to node until the destination is reached. A mesh network whose nodes are all connected to each other is a fully connected network. Mesh networks differ from other networks in that the component parts can all connect to each other via multiple hops, and they generally are not mobile. Mesh networks can be seen as one type of ad hoc network.

Connectivity: Internet and private network solutions

Fast, reliable internet connectivity enables all companies to communicate

mesh offer a comprehensive range of network connectivity solutions to suit any company's needs. We can advise on the most suitable solutions for home based workers, small offices, to larger organisations requiring a high-speed dedicated Ethernet Internet leased line service or a fully managed multi-site MPLS solution.

We are an established Internet Service Provider operating our own IP core infrastructure run to the strictest business service levels. Unlike many of the lower cost consumer service providers, our services operate at faster speeds with lower network contention levels, which means you are less likely to face slower speeds due to lack of network bandwidth.

Mesh are pleased to be able to offer a choice of different DSL services including MAX, LLU, ANNEX M, SDSL and bonded services.

Not happy with your existing DSL service provider? Mesh offer a free migration service.

Leased lines

Mesh leased line connections provide the highest level of guaranteed performance that can deliver true converged networking as they can be used to transport data, internet, voice or video traffic between multiple designated sites.

Leased lines are very cost effective and can be delivered on a local or long distance basis. Our leased lines come supported with a stringent Service Level Agreement (SLA) for further peace of mind. The speed and reliability of mesh's leased lines make them ideal for any business needing a fast, low latency connection.

Our leased line connections (also referred to as private circuits or point to point links) are available with speeds from 2Mbps, 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 1000Mbps and are suitable for point to multi-point deployments. Whilst speeds are limited by current standards of Ethernet, the geographic coverage is national making it ideal for customers outside the reach of Ethernet who are looking for a reliable, dedicated connection.

Key features and benefits
  • Choice of supplier: mesh are supplier agnostic and will always use our experience to select the most appropriate network relative to geography in each individual case

  • Continuous service :a leased line is fully resilient, monitored 24/7/365 and guaranteed by our 99.99% SLA

  • Security: your leased line bandwidth is completely dedicated to you, so the transmission of your data is secure

  • Performance:they offer fast, low latency, minimum jitter and packet loss making them ideally suited for the complete range of applications

  • Choice of service bandwidth. You can have circuit speeds from 2Mbp up to 1000Mbps, or we can also deliver fractional bandwidth over Ethernet or DWDM fibre or wavelengths

MPLS

MPLS blends the intelligence of routing with the performance of switching, providing significant benefits to networks with a native IP architecture as well as those with IP, ATM, or a mixture of other VPLS technologies.

MPLS is particularly relevant to those organisations with multiple sites or organisations who have adopted VoIP as a solution. If you are an IT Manager or Director and are looking to reduce operational costs and increase network efficiency, contact our sales team today.

How it works

This is achieved by applying short fixed-length labels to each packet (effectively a shorthand address that represents the destination and other key aspects of IP packet header). Once the initial PE router labels the IP packet, all subsequent routing decisions in the network are taken based upon the label and not the full header, thereby improving the speed of delivery.

The strength of MPLS service is in its ability to combine one scalable and feature-rich technology with a choice of network access technologies. This allows customers to build their network to the requirements of their budget and applications and not the reverse.

Features

  • Support for layer 2+ MPLS connectivity on “shared” IP infrastructure

  • Global availability

  • Six Classes of Service (CoS)

  • Access circuits can be Ethernet, leased lines and any DSL service

  • Huge network scalability

  • Comprehensive performance reporting

  • Optional features including Multiple VPNs and proxied Internet gateway access

  • Service options

  • Technical support

  • Service management

  • Project management

  • Managed routers
